Grilling Out for the Fourth
On the 4th of July, most of us are off of work. I know some of us still have to go in, and some of us take the day to catch up on tasks around the house, but some of us actually are lucky enough to not have to work. Well, in my case it was only half a day, but that is better than none.
My mother celebrates her Birthday on the Fourth of July, so usually we try to do something nice for her. My Father has not been as mobile as he once was these past months, so as a favor to her, and to him, we decided to just celebrate her Birthday by grilling out at their home.

Now, I know what you are probably thinking, it’s not much of a Birthday for my Mom when she has to cook. She said this year, she would not have had it any other way. You can’t argue with Mom!
We had a pretty hot day, so eating outside was not on the agenda, but otherwise the day was nice. Perfectly dry and sunny for grilling.
My Father is a big fan of rib eye steaks, as am I, so that is what my Mother prepared. She has a marinade she makes of garlic, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, so they are always extra flavorful.
Our holiday was spent chatting while the steaks were cooking, then a leisurely dining scene inside enjoying one another’s company, and celebrating Mom’s big day, and the birth of our nation.
