The video below explains the six (6) parts that make up homeowners insurance, why those six parts are important, and why you have to have it. And, as I said before, lenders will most likely require it. Should you watch the video, and have more questions, I would be happy to try to answer. Most likely though I will refer you to a few insurers that my clients have recommended, and that they trust with their insurance needs. A man wearing a white what looks like Calvin Klein crew neck t-shirt - The Mature Man .com

Calvin Klein Classic Crew Neck T-Shirt

The “Classic” Crew Neck – Still my favorite T-shirt after all these years. After all these years since they were first introduced, a man cannot go wrong by wearing a Calvin Klein white T-shirt. A staple of fashion in most men’s closets. You can wear a Calvin under a nice dress shirt for comfort. You can wear a Calvin Klein tee under a casual shirt or even alone. Wear a white t-shirt with a nice pair of denim or khakis. The options are nearly endless. Calvin Klein sold their first white t-shirts starting in the ’80s, and even then I was a big fan. Of course, back in the 80’s money was a bit limited for me, since I was living at my parents and babysitting, but when I could I bought my Calvin’s. Well, today things are a bit different, but the Calvin Klein, classic fit, 100% cotton crew neck T-shirt remains the same. What I like the most about my Calvin’s is that they last so long. Washing after washing they always look great. So many T-shirts I have bought in the past, when I have tried to save money, just didn’t hold up. Often those shirts lose their color and their shape after a few launderings. My Calvin Klein white T-shirt always stays white (if you buy the white tees of course), and the neck always holds it’s shape, no matter how many washings. Speaking about the neckline, I have another favorite thing about Calvin Klein tees other than durability. To this day I have never found a T-shirt that looks as great under a button-down shirt, or sweater where the tee might show. Under a V-neck sweater, or low crew, just enough of the collar of the tee might show, and it makes a nice contrast.

Men's gray house slippers sitting on a white background - In search for the perfect men's house slippers

In Search of the Perfect House Slippers

Maybe not the perfect shoes, but these are great for the colder months. It’s my task every few years since having moved north. The search for the perfect house slipper, or shoe. As I have gotten older my feet get cold during the winter months. Whereas a nice pair of socks use to suffice, now I have to wear lighter-weight pair of house slippers. My house slippers of many years finally gave up on me recently, or vice versa. Well, actually I saw my toe poking out one day, so I knew it was time for a new pair. The trouble with men’s house slippers is that they are pretty hard to find in stores, and even when you can find them, the selection and sizes are always poor. Sure you can visit the more fine men’s stores. And yes they may have something that would be called a house slipper, but you will easily end up paying $50, $90, or even more for a pair. For my budget and my use, a generic pair of house slippers does the trick for me. I tried to get the same pair that I had before, but alas they were nowhere to be found. So with that being said, I had to find another option. I stumbled on these Urban Fox Jackson slippers and after reading the reviews online, I knew that they would be fine for me. First, they were inexpensive, just a bit over $12 when I bought them. Second, they looked pretty warm, with the micro-suede, rubber-soles, and faux fur trim. Not too much so, but perfect for in the house. So, I picked out my suggested (normal) size, using the reviews as a guide to how the fit was. They arrived just a few days later, thank you

Bottles of Trader Joe's liquid dish soap sitting on a shelf

Trader Joe’s Liquid Dish Soap – My Review

Citrus scent version of this citrus scent dishwashing soap from Trader Joe’s stores. I was at my local Trader Joe’s store recently and I saw another customer reach for the liquid dishwashing soap. Their action made me think that I too needed liquid dish soap so I picked up a bottle of their citrus scented product. Most of us keep liquid dish soap around the kitchen, and some of us may use it several times a week. I know that I sure do. Well, in my case, since it’s only me, and I hate unloading the dishwasher, I use liquid dish soap pretty much every day of the week. I may use liquid dish soap on just a few dishes like my morning coffee cup or water-glass, or plates using a dish towel, or wand. If I cook, I will use it on the pots from my having cooked a whole meal. I hadn’t tried many of Trader Joe’s kitchen, or household products yet, and since I was running out, I thought that I would try the liquid dish soap. The citrus scent sounded interesting though they have a lavender scent too. Since I have always been a big Dawn fan, I thought the citrus might be a good comparable smell. Though I will admit, I haven’t really noticed much of a scent for either brand. Well, alas my first clean-up chore was the pan that is used for my Cosori air fryer. It is a two-part unit, and though it is Teflon or non-stick, it still has to be cleaned with something pretty substantial. Well, on my first use, I found that this Trader Joe’s dishwashing product didn’t quite do the trick. I thought, well perhaps I didn’t use as much as a thought that I did, so maybe that was why.

Trader Joe's Mistletoe ready for the Christmas holiday

Trader Joe’s Mistletoe

Old-Fashion Mistletoe Bunched with a Red Bow, Perfect for Gift Giving Trader Joe’s is offering again this year their old-fashion cardboard boxes of mistletoe, bunched with a small red bow. My local store had this item last year and it appeared to be a great hit. I seem to remember that it sold out pretty early in the season. This year my local store appears to have a large inventory of the mistletoe, but who knows how fast it may sell? I will have to check later this week. It is marketed as being “real” mistletoe, and that it is. You may want to note though that I would call it “processed” since it has had its color enhanced to a pretty shade of green by the use of some sort of paint. As you can see above that the mistletoe seems to be one of the more common varieties you see, which from my understanding there are many to choose from. A note is that the mistletoe does come with a nice red ribbon, which makes it even more festive. The ribbon also adds some nice color against the green of the mistletoe. I’m not sure if this would be a suitable option for a lapel if you ever thought of that idea. Too big, and perhaps messy. However, Trader Joe’s mistletoe would look great hanging over a doorway. Once you hang it, the tradition is that you find your sweetie, or someone you care about it, and catch them under the mistletoe. The plan then is that you might kiss under the mistletoe. I would suggest asking the prospective kissee (?) first, especially these days. You don’t want to have a cold reception, or worse. At my local Trader Joe’s the mistletoe was priced very affordably. It would
